Bayer AG acquired Schering AG, Germany, Berlex’s former parent company. As a result, beginning April 4, we will operate in the US under the new name of Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals. The new company combines the strengths of Berlex and Bayer.
Is there an issue with the Berlex products?
The new combined company, Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals, will continue to offer brands from both Berlex and Bayer. Our combined portfolio of products and areas of research now concentrate on a broader range of the most pressing unmet medical needs.
Will your company still be focused on specialty products?

Has the company mission changed?

Does this merger mean that some products will change?

I am a physician. Does this merger mean that I’ll be seeing a different sales representative?
Sales force assignments should remain largely the same. Any changes that might occur will be communicated directly to you from the sales organization.
I am a patient. Will this change affect the pricing of my medication?
No, this change will not affect product prices.
If you are Bayer Healthcare Pharma, why do your products still have the Berlex name on them?
As you can imagine, merging two large companies takes time. Not all packaging has been changed; that process will take place in the coming months. You may see the Berlex name remain on product packaging for several months.
I sell (goods or services) to the company. Does this mean that the people with whom I usually work will change?
For now, you should continue to reach the people with whom you have worked in the past. They, or their groups, will inform you of any changes in staffing that affect your business.

I am a customer. Does my account number for ordering purposes remain the same?
Unless you hear otherwise, this number will not change. If it does, you’ll get advance notice.
